Most financial calculators assume you have a salary — a fixed monthly income with taxes withheld by an employer. That's not how gig economy workers earn. Whether you drive for Uber, deliver for DoorDash, sell on Etsy, or freelance as a designer or developer, your income is variable, your taxes are self-managed, and your financial needs are different.
